Congratulations on Booking your Accommodation! By providing your credit card number for the accommodation you have selected, and the amount that is named in the cart to which these terms are attached, you are agreeing to the following terms:

Retreat Accommodation Terms

THIS AMAZING PRICE INCLUDES THE FULL PROGRAM, FOLLOW-UP CONVERSATION THREAD AND POST RETREAT GROUP CALL, CURRENT AND SEASONAL LIGHT LANDING AMENITIES AND RECREATION (varies with season), AND ALL 7 YUMMY MEALS, !!! In addition to the retreat program and activities, registration includes use of all property and waterfront amenities (Pier, kayaks, canoe, swings, serenity, sun, shade, hammock, huge screened porch, comfy lawn chairs, swimming, hot tub [normally it working but no guarantees], materials, tons of Byron Katie’s videos, audios, and books, nearby wooded lane and ‘bay walk,’ loving supportive camaraderie, space for yoga, etc.!)
HOUSE RULES: Come in the spirit of camaraderie, community, cooperation, and FUN, where everyone’s needs are important and a loving sense of humor about the efforts of our dear, innocent monkey-minds (and the dear, innocent monkey minds of others) is our guiding principle! A cozy fireplace in this comfy living/dining room with spectacular views–just one of our many spots to meet, hang out, sit by the fire, undo whatever sabotages our peace as it comes up. xox Only use candles provided. No smoking within 100 feet of houses and waterfront. ALL WATER ACTIVITIES ARE UNDERTAKEN AT YOUR OWN RISK (Including hot tub).
CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be submitted in writing. If your cancellation is received 14 days in advance of the retreat, your entire retreat payment (which includes both program and accommodations) will be refunded less a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel within 14 days and we are able to re-fill your spot, you will pay any difference if the replacement partiticant’s total fees are less than your payment, minus a $100 cancellation fee. If no replacement person is available, or if you do not send advance written notice of your cancellation within these time frames, or if you do not attend, or if you leave the workshop early, your payment is non-refundable. It is also non-transferable without written consent from Shawn Mahshie.
COPYRIGHT: We are very excited about you sharing celebrations or testimonials to pass news of the work along regularly, and hope you will be supporting this movement to ‘eradicate fear’ by encouraging others to connect with Shawn or consider programs such as this retreat to REAL-ize the dependable peace and delicious connection created via warm “Self- Solidarity.” At the same time, you acknowledge and understand that the methods, processes, and strategies taught in your retreat constitute Shawn Mahshie’s proprietary system and for which we claim copyright protection, and that we will also be teaching and using The Work of Byron Katie or variations on it. Mahshie has spent considerable time and effort in developing her interpretations and ways of presenting these systems, which includes all materials associated with the retreat, all coaching, mentoring, materials disseminated and strategies taught, and all associated facilitating and coaching.
PHOTOS and VIDEOS: All photos taken at the retreat may be used by Shawn for websites or other promotional or informational purposes unless you give written denial of that permission, which includes the use of them to create a collage or video or advertisement. Any videos taken of facilitations or other activities that include you will remain confidential unless Shawn seeks and receives your express written permission. You will be given an opportunity to see any such videos that you approve for dissemination as a teaching, informational or promotional tool before you approve of its use. (Shawn requests that you share any photos or videos you take at the retreat with her, if you are willing. Thanks!)
CONFIDENTIALITY: You agree to keep confidential all that is discussed within the confines of retreat and any follow- up group meetings, FB forum, and partner work. You agree that Shawn Mahshie may publish her written or spoken responses to you and other members, as well as your testimonials with your name unless you inform us that you wish to remain anonymous or do not put your name on evaluation/testimonials forms. Symmetry of Happiness agrees it will not publish any other of your written, audio, or video communications in a way that can be recognized as yours without your express written permission. You agree that Shawn Mahshie may use your name in referring to the retreat for others considering the group who wish to know who part of it is already (unless you specifically request that your identity be kept private).
DISCLAIMER AND GUARANTEE: While SOH is absolutely convinced that you will derive great benefits from your retreat and that you should become as successful in your internal and external transformation toward dependable peace and delicious connection via the Symmetry of Self-Love as you envision, we of course cannot represent or guarantee that you will attain a certain level of transformation as a result of your retreat. As with any evolutionary process, each individual’s success depends on many factors, including your personal motivation, time commitment, how effectively you implement the strategies taught, and your efficiency in following up on each phase. The cost of this Program is an investment in yourself and your internal experience of self, life, and others, and, as with any investment, there is both great potential for a great return on your investment, and a risk there is little or no return on this investment. We can guarantee, however, that you will be exposed to and have the opportunity to partake of and learn a great deal of usable and translatable strategies, support, coaching, and mentoring that, when followed by others, have achieved life-changing results via the radical new journey back to self-solidarity. I now have a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if You Don’t Experience a Shift in perspective at this Retreat! So far, retreat participants report having a wonderful experience and lasting changes! I stand behind the warm connection and deep self-inquiry that takes place here via The Reliable Symmetry of Happiness and The Work, and will return your program fee if you don’t get a shift! We highly recommend you stay for the entire retreat. Shifts often happen the last day and even the final hour or chatting with me or someone else when it’s all over! If you do not feel you “got what you came for” in the way of a positive shift, I would want you to schedule a phone or in-person session with me to get to the bottom of what it’s about–it’s possible that what’s under this resistance is the very thing that wants to get shifted! So I am happy to take one more shot in individual work with you to see if that will ‘real-ize’ the shift for you! If you’re still not happy, I will refund the program fee in full (less meals and accommodations) as long as you were present for the entire retreat.
LIABILITY: You agree to not hold Shawn Mahshie, her businesses, family, team members, helpers, or others with whom she is affiliated responsible for any injuries to you while on the property beyond what her current liability insurance agrees to cover, or to any actions, results, or outcomes to yourself or others based on choices you make subsequent to the retreat. This retreat is not counseling, and anything that is said by Shawn and others is not considered to be advice to you in a professional capacity. Shawn is here to facilitate your own discovery and is not purporting to advise or guide actions taken by clients or retreat participants.
AGREEMENT: By entering into this retreat, You agree to have read and understand the foregoing provisions and agree to be bound hereby. This retreat is non-cancel-able and non-refundable, except in the specific cases stated in the policies herein, regardless of attendance and level of participation.
